Georeferencing Method
Georeferencing Quick Reference Guide, Version 2012. Difficult to assess the precise location behind Colégio Buriti. Georeferenced to the approximate geographic center of the area that could be considered "behind" the campus of Colégio Buriti, extending the linear extent to encompass the farthest area of land that could be considered "behind" the campus (bordered by road MT-020). Used the referenced materials and Google Maps - Earth View to locate the campus of the Colégio. Used the Google Maps - What's Here Tool to find the coordinates of the approximate geographic center of the area "behind" (eastward) of campus (using visual evidence to determine). Used the Google Maps - Measure Distance Tool to find the linear extent by measuring from the selected coordinates to the approximate farthest extent of the campus. Input coordinates, linear extent (2370.0 m), and measurement error (5 m) into the MaNIS Georeferencing Calculator to find the uncertainty radius (according to Georeferencing Quick Reference Guide, Named Place: Defined Area).
