Habitat
Thorn-scrub ('Carrasco") formation of densely branched, closely spaced shrubs with rigid, sharp-tipped branches. Sterile.

Description
Erect slender single-stemmed shrub 3 m tall. Branches sinuous, rather stiff but not rigid. Bark greyish brown to tan. Stipules light yellowish to reddish brown. Leaves newly emerging as a result of recent rains, light yellow-green. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
