Along dry road edges. Deep stream-cut canyon running west-east. Granitic outcrops above silty pumice alluvium on canyon floor. Riparia vegetation of Populus tremuloides, Smilacina stellata, Aquilegia formosa, Epilobium angustifolium, Ribes cereum, Mimulus primuloides, Taraxicum, Dodecatheon, Salix, Potentilla. Dry uplands with Pinus contorta, Artemesia tridentata, Purshia tridentata. Occasional.
