Habitat
On steep rocky hillside with sandy soil in cerrado.

Description
Single stemmed shrub to 1.5 m tall. Trunk light brown, becoming corky and longitudinally furrowed at base. Twigs reddish brown. Leaves plane, stiffish, medium green somewhat shiny above; very pale glaucous dull green beneath, midrib pale yellowish both sides. Phenology of specimen: Sterile.
