Delissea rhytidosperma Mann, Proc. Am. Acad. 7:180.
Delissea kealiae Wawra, Flora (II) 31:10. 1873.
It js possible that Wawra’s species is distinct from Mann’s
and in that cash my specimens are not B. rhytidosperma, but p.
kealiae, for they were collected on the east side' of the Hana-
pepe riyer in wet woods near the source of the Wahiawa, not
many miles front the place where Wawra collected his type.
Mann’s- type,,on the contrary, came from the “mountains
above Waimea, Kauai,” in what is practically a different floral
area,, neither .djctJLsee this satpe.plant above Waimea.
PLANTS OF THE HAWAIIAN ISLANDS.
COLLECTED ON THE .ISLAND OF KAUAI, ALONG THE BANAPEPE
RIVER, NEAR THE FALLS,
By A. A. Heller, July 2^8, 1895.
