Habitat
In low forest by the side of a large lake, the base of the trunk is actually in the water.

Description
Tree, 10 m tall. Trunk 19 cm in diam at breast height, without buttresses. Bark chocolate-brown, slightly fissured in rectangles. Blaze: wood pale yellow cream, cortex pink-red. Outer perianth members delicate light pink, inner (staminodial?) yellow. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
