Habitat
Evergreen moist forest on hill slopes. With Calamus longisetus, C. viminalis, Daemonorops jenkinsianus, Licuala peltata and Wallichia caryotoides.

Description
Clustered. Undergrowth palm to 10 m tall, stems 10-15 cm diam.; internodes 25-30 cm; leaves 12, spreading; blade 2.5 m long with 10-15 pinnae per side; petiole 60 cm long; inflorescences pendulous. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
