Habitat
On exposed earth of trail banks on calcareous outcrops with Tortula ruralis abundant. In mesic, montane forest of Thuja plicata-Tsuga mertensiana-Pseudotsuga menziesii with carpets of Hylocomium splendens-Ptilium crista-castrensis.
