Collected in understory on slope above inland, saltwater lake. Wet tropical evergreen forest on raised limestone karst. 75% canopy cover. Diverse forest with Horsefeldia and Eugenia as common elements.

Small tree, 7 m tall. Milky sap. Fruits black at maturity. Leaves 15-18 cm long.
