Description
Pileus 10-23 mm broad, plano-convex to plane, dry, with very matte, fine subvelutinous appearance, sulcate, deep reddish brown (8E8), fading to brick red (7D8). Flesh thin, white, with odor of chicken bullion, with unpleasant taste. Lamellae adnate, subdistant, pale lilac, with edges marginate and pale brownish (lens). Stipe 2-3.5 cm broad, 1-1.5 mm broad, equal, dry, white to pale lilac at apex and finely subpruinose, brown and subglabrous toward base, eventually dark brown nearly overall with age, with ochraceous tufts of basal mycelium binding the litter.
