    Dry sclerophyll. Eucalyptus globoides (peppermint), Leptospermum spp. Scattered. In sand.

  • Description

    Gasterocarps 2-7 cm broad, globose to irregular in outline, sometimes pyriform, otherwise very much potato-shaped, solid, white to pale yellow at first, then dull, dirty yellow, with superficial rhizomorphs and some fine basal rhizomorphs, usually with a clear basal attachment point, no staining from handling. Gleba pale and dull greenish with white marbling at first, very solid, becoming deep olive green to olive brown and somewhat gel-filled and moisture-laden, remaining hard and solid.
