  • Description

    Pileus 2.5-5 cm broad, convex to plano-convex, sometimes irregularly uplifted, opimous to subviscid, glabrous, reddish brown (8F8) to brown (7E8) to brownish yellow (5C-D7). Context white, thin, unchanging, with mild odor and taste. Lamellae adnexed, close, white to yellowish white (4A2), with even to uneven edges. Stipe 3-6 cm long, 2-8 mm broad, terete to compressed, moist to dry, glabrous, equal to slightly broader below, pale yellow above, orange below, with pale pinkish buff basal rhizomorphs, with interior becoming hollow.
