In full sun in water 30 cm-70 cm. deep mud
bottom water temp, at collecting time
c.90 °F. Very common.
Flowers buttercup yellow with orange
patterning on upperside of lip. Leaves all
slightly bronze-tinged olive green. Mature
scape' flushed wine red or entirely pale to
dark wine red, glossy. Leafy axis pale dull
pink-flushed, translucent. Bladders black.
Leaves just below water surface to resting
on the bottom, Flowers in all stages of
development, with many mature or shed fruits.
Fruits very glossy, lime green.-

Also^collected 28/3 (from exactly, the "same
population) plants with long fragile, shoots
growing from t^he main leafyi.-axis uppto the
surface of the water and trailing on water
surface. A reaction to rising water levels
from 12/3-18/3-? ( then levels fell).
Many of these shoots rotting on 28/3.
