Habitat
In campo cerrado in a damp place on the edge of an area of campo with murunduns.

Description
Wide crowned tree, 8 m tall; trunk 60 cm d.b.h. with bark flaking in an irregular pattern and showing no charring; crown 15 m across with some of the outermost branches practically touching the ground-like a park beech. Fruits edible. Flowers cream--collected from the ground below another tree of the same sp. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
