Location
Venezuela. Amazonas. Río Negro Mun. Cerro de la Neblina, Camp VII, 5 km. NE of Pico Phelps (=Neblina); along rocky stream (Cano Gardner), upstream from camp.

Habitat
Cloud forest in bottom of valley. Along stream. Also found at ca. 1850 m. in thickets on very steep slope surrounded by forest. Only a few seen here.

Description
Shrub 4 m. tall; stems and undersides of leaves whitened; calyx accrescent, ridged; corolla recurved, white with yellow-green star; anthers yellow. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
