  • Description

    Tree to 5 m with smooth grey trunk. Young stems with reddish hairs. Leaves rugose dull green above with reddish hairs beneath. Flowers with sepals fleshy, yellow within brown tomentose outside. Petals yellow. Anthers cream. Fruit with long brown labillae; depressed spherical. The bark is soaked in water & beaten to make cord. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
