On edge of mixed hardwood forest. Locally abundant. Light gray soil, pH ca. 6.2.

Description
Corollas pale blue to red-violet, throat paler violet and some with 2 weak white ridges within abaxially, tube base darker violet; staminode white; anthers white abaxially, violet adaxially, abaxial pair ± exserted at mouth; nectar with a sweet fragrance. Phenology of specimen: Fertile, Flower.
