On ± barren pale tan sand, west-facing, gentle rise, with Bromus tectorum, Chrysothamnus.

Plants grayish green, succulent, the stems spreading-ascending; limb white, tube pale greenish; plants spreading by long shallow roots, in a small patch of ca. 20 plants, 5 large, rest small. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
