Low, xerophitic forest on serpentine. Local population in flood plain of Río Loco at crossing below headquarters.

Description
Herbaceous to weakly woody, erect, to 2 m high; corolla & staminal column yellow; bracts green to brown w/ hyaline areas in center. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
