of Hanekam Tunnel.
Mid-montane zone, in Casuarina forest which forms a distinct
zone along side of the Gn. Hanekam.
Altitude: 2500m.
Terrestrial tree fern along road. Base of stipe and rachis with
short, sharp spines. Long dense scales along sides. Square in
outline. Stipe arising rapidly up the trunk and then bent to 40
degree angle. Rachis circular in section with grooved top, and
scales.
