Habitat
Open forest on high terraces. Much of this area either still dominated by arborescent bamboo (Guadua) or regenerating from a bamboo die-back that began two years ago.

Description
Tree. Tree 25m x 35cm, outer bark gray, slightly asperous due to small lenticels and fine hoop marks, thin, inner bark orange, brittle. Fruits immature. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
