    At foot of west slope. "Cerradão" xeromorphic tree-woodland with open canopy on slope at outer border of gallery forest by hot water swimming pools (both the gallery forest & the adjoining cerradão now consist of remnant trees, the ground beneath having been made into a garden.

    Tree 6 m tall, trunk 12 cm. dbh. Buds covered with 2 brown bract scales which fall as bud growns.[See label for further plant description.]. Phenology of specimen: Flower.

"Cerradao" xeromorphic tree-woodland with open canopy
on slope at outer "border of gallery forest by hot water
swimming pools. (Both the gallery forest & the adjoin-
ing cerradao now consist of remnant trees, the ground
beneath having been made into a garden.)
This no* tree 6 n tall, trunk 12 cm d.b.h. Suds
covered with 2 brown bract scales which fall as bud
grows. S pals light green, petals & filaments white,
anthers yellow with brown edges (later turn all brown),
ovary olive-green, style white. All flowers had all
their petals at this date but most of the petals fell
off when the branches were collected.
