In forest subject to flooding by small lake.

Description
Much branched spindly shrub to c. 3 m forming small thickets. Leaves usually crowded at end of branches, rather thin, smooth above, and dull mid green. Flowers in pendulous racemes usually clustered just below leaves, occasionally scattered, with leaves down the stem. Flowers dull brownish with nauseous smell. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
