SPECIMENS DISTRIBUTED THROUGH THE HERBARIUM UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA. BERKELEY STUDY OF THE TROPICAL GENUS HYMENAEA L. 'CAESALPINIOIDEAE. LEGUMINOSAE) UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA, SANTA CRUZ HYMENAEA courbaril L. var. longi folia (Benth.) Lee & Andrade-Lima Loc. in ecotone between caatinga and cerrado, in the border of the chapado do Araripe, Cearlf, Brazil. Single tree in the area, ca. 12 m tall, branched near the base, each branch measured to 30 cm in diameter near the junction. Crown well-developed, several seedlings were found in the vicinity of the tree; one fruit of last year was collected from the ground. November 1971 Yin-Tse Lee and D. De Andrade-Lima #95 00979378
