The Republic of Georgia. Lagodekhi Nature Reserve. Along the
trail above timberline southeast of the meterological station
("Meteo Sta.") and field cabin from timberline at about
41°52'30"N, 46°22'17"E to a minor pass on the trail from Meteo
Station to Lekisaplavi at about 41°52'21"N, 46°22'51"E, from
2340-2500 m elevation (coordinates from hand-held GPS).
Associated with scattered ferns and grass, Carex, Gentiana,
Hieracleum, Inula, Ligusticum, Rhododendron, Senecio, and
Vaccinium.
Plants to 0.3 m tall; flowers purplish; mainly in fruit. UNICATE.
