    Perennial; rhizomatous herb; stems erect, 50-100 cm tall, subglabrous; leaves membranous with 5 -10 pairs of lanceolate, acute, sessile leaflets; lower petiolate, upper subsessile; flowers numerous, shortly pedicellate; corolla blue.
