Description
Plant glabrescent 10-50 cm, often widely branched, sparsely villose at base; leaf lacine linear; flowers 10-30 mm across, sepals pallid, petals narrowly obovate, deep scarlet, with a black base; achenes coferted, 3-5 mm, rugose-reticulate beak in line wit.
