Spiny, glabrous shrub, 20 to 75 cm tall, multy branched, with the branches spine-tipped; leaves subulate, most plants glaucous; flowers solitary, in the axils of leaves; bracteoles 2, along length bend, in back with spine; perianth 5 (3 outher and 2 inner.
