Georgia. Trialeti. On main road from Tbilisi to Manglisi, environs of vill. Kojori, about 1 km south of main road to old fortress Kor-Ogli.

Broad-leaved wood margin and open place. Quercus iberica, Fagus orientalis, Carpinus orientalis, C. caucasica, Cotoneaster pentagina, C. meyeri, Cornus mas, Pyrus.

Description
Spiny shrub up to 2-3 m tall, spines 1-2 cm; leaves lanceolate to obovate 5-10 x 2-5 cm; flowers large 3-4 cm diam., white; pedicels 5-6 mm; calyx pubescent, sepals larger than petals; fruit 1,5-3 cm subglobose crowned by foliaceous sepals. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
