Semidesert and ruderal vegetation. Salsola dendroides, Artemisia annua, Tragus racemosus, Centaurea diffusa, Carthamnus lanatus, Silybum marianum, Eringium caucasicum, E. campestre.

Description
Glaucous herb with a woody base and slender ascending branches; stems 40 to 100 cm tall, lower part tomentose; leaves glabrous, basal-lanceolate to elliptic, entire, cauline-smaller, upper long-linear; capitula small, sessile; involucre cylindrical, phyll.
