Mountain-meadow stony soil; plant cover 80%. Leucanthemum vulgare, Bromopsis variegata, Centaurea salicifolia, Centaurea cheiranthifolia, Goodyera repens, Cirsium obvallatum, Cirsium pugnax.

Description
Biennial herb, most plants 15 to 25 cm tall; stems erect; leaves lanceolate, with spiny lobes; capitula broad, spiny, yellow; inner phyllaries yellow, much longer than flower, outer phyllaries not much longer than flower; corolla yellow, pistil green.
