Georgia. Lagodekhi Nature Reserve. Along the trail above timberline southeast of the meterological station ("Meteo Sta.") and field cabin from timberline at about 41º52'30"N, 46º22'17"E to a minor pass on the trail from Meteo Station to Lekisaplavi at about 41º52'21"N, 46º22'51"E.

Associated with scattered ferns and grass, Carex, Gentiana, Hieracleum, Inula, Ligusticum, Rhododendron, Senecio, and Vaccinium.
