Mixed forest on light browa sandy loam.
Tree. 35 m high, dbh 70 cm. Bark reddish brown, flaky,
showing mussel shell-pattern, with red sap, inner bark
deep red-brown, sap wood light brown just below bark,
more reddish deeper to heart, heart wood deep red-brown.
Leaves shiny above, with light green veins. Pods green,
shiny, seeds white.
Vernacular name: maporokon.
