In remains of semideciduous forest.

Description
Tree, 13 m tall, 35 cm d.b.h. Bark with very shallow vertical fissuring and some scaling. Ripe fruits pale scarlet with yellow 'mesocarp' showing at sutures. Seeds gray-green. Flowering in leafless condition-leaves collected from neighboring tree. Phenology of specimen: Sterile.
