Habitat
Mixed oak-hickory-basswood forest on steep, primarily NE-facing slopes and ravines above Missouri River floodplain. Some surfacing limestone boulders on lower slopes. Deep loess soil. Locally common on 36 in dbh Quercus muhlenbergii.
