Very moist, good, densely humus covered soil of deep woods.

Description
Perennial, prostrate creeper; inflorescence terminal, 1 inch long, the short branches and calyx green, usually descendingly curved; buds testaceous; odorless flowers pendant, white and tinged with testaceous brown, the 5 segments strongly recurved, gradually widening from falling, the stamens with the throat hairs of the same color; ovary whitish, style and stigma green. Phenology of specimen: Fertile.
