    Same situations as P. heterodoxus; flowers smaller, deep purple-violet. Annotated on specimen sheet in pencil: Anther-sacs ovate, explanate, opposite, 0.42 mm. long, glabrous; calyx 2-2.3 mm high, not accrescent; corolla 7.5-8 mm long, bearded at orifice (white); staminode with short golden tuft at apex. Phenology of specimen: Flower, Fruit.
