[Fide Lena Struwe, 2003: "Rusby 1227 is the type of Symbolanthus rusbyanus (=S. brittonianus). However, it is a mixed collection and some sheets are instead Symbolanthus australis. This is indicated with determination labels on each type sheet on material I have seen. The collection date also varies, with some sheets marked with April and others with May."]
