    Southwest facing slope, 50%. Plants on terraces between sagebrush with little vegetative cover. Artemisia arbuscula arbuscula community. Associated with Elytrigia spicata, Phlox hoodii, Sitanion hystrix, Oryzopsis hymenoides, Mentzelia albicaulis, Castilleja angustifolia, Antennaria dimorpha, Atriplex confertifolia. Common. Loose, gravelly soil with shallow silt.
