Tree not common in reserve, but reported to be common in headwaters of Cuba.

Description
Canopy tree. Canopy tree. Bark bumpy and shell-like. Inner bark yellow. Flowers axillary, usually solitary or on short pedicels/ Corolla white, tubular with contorted lobes. Flowers in alcohol. Used for house construction because of its resistence to insects. Common name: Amagro. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
