Puerto Rico. Cordillera Central; Bosque Toro Negro; near headwaters of the Rio Inaban, where crossing Rt. 143 at km 18.7, following stream southward; near Monte Jayuya.

Habitat
Moist montane forest. Dominated by Prestoea montana in ravine. Common.

Description
Tree to 5 (or less commonly to 8) m tall; flowers white; fruit globose, shiny blue-black berries. Phenology of specimen: Flower, Fruit.
