Location

Georgia. Adjara. Shuakhevi District. Along Georgia highway A306 (main road between Batumi and Akhaltsikhe), ca 40.3 km (by air) E of Batumi city center, ca 15 km (by air) N of Turkish border.

Habitat

Mixed broadleaf and conifer forests on in relatively dry region with thin, light soil and abundant exposed rock; dominant species include Pinus kochiana, Juniperus and Rhus coriaria in drier sites and Ostrya carpinifolia and Quercus in wetter sites.
