    On hummocks and in depressions of seasonally inundated sink area. Associates: Sarcobatus vermiculatus, Allenrolfea occidentalis, Atriplex confertifolia, Monolepis nuttaliana, Plagiobothyrs salsus, Poa nevadensis, Elymus elymoides, Phacelia lutea, Phacelis parishii, Lepidium montanum, Thelpodium sagittatum. Locally common. Substrate saturated, brown, crumbly at surface.
