    Mexico. Baja California Sur. Close to the main road running S from La Paz towards San José del Cabo, about 6 km. S of the turnoff to Santiago.

  • Habitat

    In low rolling hills. In dry thorn scrub forest with Haematoxylon brasiletto, Lysiloma candida, Prosopis, Acacia, Cercidium, Jatropha, Cactaceae, Burseraceae. Very abundant.

  • Description

    Small, compact, mult-istemmed, very branchy shrub, verging on prostrate, to 0.5 m. high. Bark pale whitish gray, smooth. Ripe podsm mainly already dehisced, reddish brown,opening from the tip. Understorey shrub. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.

to 0.5m ht. Bark pale whitish grey,
smooth. Ripe pods, mainly already
dehisced, reddish brown, opening from
the tip.
