(Type Herb. Univ. Calif., 2Io. 262669.) The proposed new species belongs to the group of South Pacific species, 3* cornuta, S. novae-hollandiae, and S. novae- caledoniae. It approaches the last in dimensions but has differ- ent propagula, which in turn approach those of S. cornuta in shape, but the main portion is broader while the horns are shorter, possibly 3touter, and more suddenly tapering. 5252.
