• Description

  Árbol siempre verde de 60 pies de alto y 14 pulgadas de diámetro en el tronco. Posee ramas esbeltas, flores blancas en racimos y frutos en copas verrugosas semiredondas. La madera se ha usado para postes y varas. Es poco común encontrándose en los bosques húmedos bajos de la Cordillera Central, Sierra de Luquillo y calizos de Puerto Rico y Saint Thomas. Evergreen tree of sixty feet of height and fourteen inches of diameter in the trunk. It has svelte branches, white flowers in racemes, and fruits in semi round rugged cups. Its wood has been used for posts and twigs. It is uncommon but grows in the low humid forests of the Central Mountain range, the Mountain range of Luquillo and calcareous zones of Puerto Rico and Saint Thomas.
