  Bejuco rastrero o trepador que puede alcanzar hasta 45 pies de extensión. Posee hojas en forma de corazón, flores blancas solitarias que abren de noche y corola como un embudo con 5 franjas verdosas formando un diseño en forma de estrella. La planta produce látex al herirse. La infusión de los tallos, hojas y flores se ha usado para controlar infecciones de la piel, oftálmicas y ceguera. Ha sido útil en la medicina casera contra la ictericia, hepatitis, inflamación del hígado y como laxante. Crece silvestre en las costas de Puerto Rico y la Isla de Mona. Está distribuido en las Antillas, Centro América, norte de Sur América y Florida Creeping or climbing reed that can reach to forty-five feet of extension. It has heart shaped leaves, white solitary flowers that open at night, a corolla shaped like a funnel, with five greenish strips forming a star design. The plant produces latex when cut. The infusion of the stems, leaves, and flowers has been used to control of the skin and ophthalmic infections. It has been used in home remedies against jaundice, hepatitis, inflammation of the liver, and as a laxative. It grows wild in the coasts of Puerto Rico and the Island of Mona. It is distributed in the Antilles, Central America, the North of the South America and Florida.
