  Bejuco poco leñoso trepador o rastrero que puede llegar a los 15 pies de extensión. Posee hojas acorazonadas, flores amarillo brillante con corolas en forma de embudo y frutos en cápsulas. La planta produce látex en todas sus partes. Se puede localizar a orillas de carreteras, pastizales y predios abandonados a elevaciones bajas o medias de Puerto Rico. Está ampliamente distribuido en los trópicos. Slightly ligneous climbing or creeping reed that can grow to at the fifteen feet of extension. It has heart shaped leaves, shining corolla in a funnel shape, yellow flowers, and fruits in capsules. This plant produces latex in all its parts. It can be located along borders of highways, thickets, and of fallow areas at low to medium elevations of Puerto Rico. It is widely distributed in the tropics.
