• Description

  The beautiful pygmy-fringe tree is a Threatened species, having lost most of its pineland habitat in central Florida to Citrus plantations and suburban sprawl. This specimen was collected and named by the important NYBG botanist John K. Small, who discovered many new species across Florida.
