Description
The flowers of this species possess a sulcate hypanthium that is truncate at the base, imbricate calyx-lobes, a staminal ring lip, an androecial hood that splits to form posterior and anterior hood extensions, vestigial stamens that arise from the posterior hood extension and are swept inward, an obliquely oriented style, a four locular ovary, placentae that arise from the lower septum and appear to be at the junction of the septum and the floor of the locule, and obliquely ascending ovules.
